Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity:
Deputy Chief Chad Andrews summoned Danielle J. Beardsley, 25, of Union, for speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Jan. 1, Officer John Sylvester arrested Joy W. Hamilton, 44, of Damariscotta, for a probation violation.
Jan. 2, Officer Ryan Chubbuck summoned Liam James Mullen, 19, of South Bristol, for operating after suspension and illegal transportation of liquor by a minor.
Officer Devin Polizzotti arrested Amanda L. Taylor, 29, of Warren, as an assist to Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
Jan. 4, Officer John Sylvester summoned Jade E. Robbins, 24, of Damariscotta, for operating after suspension.
Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Church Street on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; took a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle in which $40 cash was stolen; took a report of suspicious activity regarding phone calls.
Dec. 31, 2013, Chief Ron Young responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a disabled motor vehicle.
Deputy Chief Chad Andrews took possession of a wallet that was found at Hannaford.
Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to Schooner Cove due to a medical alarm.
Jan. 2, Officer Jason Warlick conducted a welfare check on a subject on Church Street; assisted a citizen with a lockout of their vehicle.
Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Rt. 1, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; responded to LincolnHealth – Miles Campus on a report of an out of control patient; assisted two citizens with questions they had regarding parking and snow removal in the Municipal Parking Lot; responded to Biscay Road on a report of a disabled motor vehicle; returned to LincolnHealth for a patient that was being destructive and threatening.
Deputy Chief Chad Andrews and Officer Devin Polizzotti assisted LincolnHealth – Miles Campus with a patient who was attempting to leave the hospital.
Jan. 3, Deputy Chief Chad Andrews and Officer Devin Polizzotti responded to Chestnut Lane on a report of a fire alarm.
Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Elm Street on a report of a parking problem due to snow removal. He was able to locate the owner of the vehicle and have it moved.
Officer Jason Warlick and Officer John Sylvester assisted LincolnHealth – Miles Campus with an unruly patient; and returned again to assist with an unruly patient.
Officer John Sylvester responded to Courtyard Street on a report of a burglar alarm; assisted a citizen with questions regarding parking.
Jan. 4, Officer Jason Warlick assisted a citizen who had some fears for her safety; took a complaint of harassment.
Officer John Sylvester took a complaint of a possible violation of a protection from abuse order.
Officer Devin Polizzotti assisted LincolnHealth – Miles Campus with a LifeFlight that was coming in.
Jan. 5, Officer Michael Elwell assisted LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in the Intensive Care Unit; conducted a pedestrian check on a subject on Main Street; took a complaint from a citizen on Wood’s Lane regarding snowmobilers on his road.
Officer Ryan Chubbuck took a complaint of harassment from a resident at Jackie’s Trail.
Jan. 6, Chief Ron Young responded to Cove’s Edge on a report of a fire alarm. There was a large leak in the Main Lobby.
Deputy Chief Chad Andrews responded to Rt. 1 on a report of a traffic hazard, where a sign had bent and was partially in the roadway; assisted Time Warner Cable on Main Street with traffic control; requested that the fire department responded to Damariscotta Police Department due to a strong odor of gas, from a gas leak in the parking lot of Full Circle Family Medicine.
Officer Ryan Chubbuck responded to a report of an erratic operation; responded to Rt. 1, along with CLC Ambulance, on a report of a medical emergency; responded to the Chapman-Hall House on a report of a burglar alarm.
Jan. 7, Chief Ron Young responded to Bristol Road twice on reports of disabled motor vehicles due to a pot hole in the roadway; responded to Main Street on a report of a traffic hazard in which a tire was in the roadway.
Chief Ron Young responded to Hilltop Stop on a report of a hit and run accident involving Charles F. Campbell of Damariscotta who was operating a 2000 Chevrolet. The other party left the scene.
Jan. 1, Officer John Sylvester responded to Piper Mill Road on a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident involving Michael H. Clark, 46, of Newcastle, who was operating a 2006 Subaru and Jeffrey B. Poole, 57, of South Bristol, who was operating a 2004 Dodge. Clark attempted to stop at the intersection of High and School streets but slid out into the roadway causing Poole to strike him.
Jan. 3, Officer John Sylvester responded to Main Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving Daniel F. Belknap, 62, of Old Town, who was operating a 2003 Subaru. Belknap was turning left onto Water Street from Main Street. He slid into the parking lot of Mediterranean Kitchen and struck the building.
Jan. 5, Officer Michael Elwell responded to Main Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving Chuck Herman, of Damariscotta, and Robert D. Onorato, of Bristol, who was operating a 2010 Ford. Herman said he was pulling into a parking space and a Ford pickup struck his mirror on the driver’s side door and broke it.
Jan. 6, Chief Ron Young responded to Main Street on a report of a car/deer accident involving Daniel Cyr, 62, of Bristol, who was operating a 2007 Jeep.
