The Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity from April 25 to May 1:
Ingeborg Leach, Waldoboro, failing to provide proof of insurance, speeding, Main Street, April 27.
Ellen Tilton, Exeter, N.H., operating after suspension, Main Street, April 28.
Joshua Watkis, Alna, inspection, insurance, Main Street, April 27.
April 25: Officer Halpin responded to a motor-vehicle accident on Main Street. Stuart Feldpausch, of South Thomaston, was driving a 2002 Subaru Forester, and Gisele St. Pierre, of Bristol, was driving a 2010 Chrysler Sebring.
April 26: Officer Halpin responded to a hit-and-run accident on Coastal Market Drive. Carol Emery, of Walpole, said a vehicle hit her and left. No injuries were reported.
April 27: Sgt. Jason Warlick responded to a car-deer accident on Back Meadow Road. Cassandra Niederer, of Biddeford, was driving a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. The deer had to be put down. No human injuries were reported.
April 29: Sgt. Warlick investigated a two-vehicle accident on Main Street. Jeffery Conlon, of Cushing, was driving a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, and Claude Broutin, of Wiscasset, was driving a 2004 Lexus. No injuries were reported.
April 30: Officer Halpin investigated a motor-vehicle accident on Coastal Market Drive. Peggy Thomas, of Franklin, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet 1500, and Dianna Leeman, of Bremen, was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. No injuries were reported.
Chief Young investigated a report of trespassing on Biscay Road and assisted a citizen on Main Street.
Sgt. Warlick conducted a drug investigation on Main Street.
April 26: Officer Halpin conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street, assisted with a parking problem on Main Street, took a late report of a motor-vehicle accident, assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Bristol Road, and took a police information report on Meadow Court.
Sgt. Warlick assisted with a suicidal subject on Ledgewood Court, issued a warning for a defect on Biscay Road, and issued a warning for failing to obey traffic control device on Biscay Road.
April 27: Officer Dotson assisted with a juvenile problem on Pond Circle, conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street, investigated an open 911 call on Spruce Lane, took a report of found property on Main Street, investigated a report of fraud on Elm Street, and took a report of found property at the police department.
Chief Young, Sgt. Warlick, Officer Mike Elwell, and Officer Joel Seekins conducted a special detail on Main Street.
Sgt. Warlick investigated a noise complaint on Main Street.
April 28: Officer Tyson Fait took a report of lost property on Main Street; conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street; issued warnings for speeding on Biscay Road, Bristol Road, and Main Street; took a report of an erratic vehicle on Route 1; and conducted a welfare check on Meadow Court.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of a 911 hang-up on Schooner Street.
April 29: Sgt. Warlick issued a warning for speeding on Bristol Road, conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street, responded to a fight on Jackie’s Trail (peace was restored), assisted another agency with paperwork service at the police department, assisted another agency with an out-of-control subject on Bristol Road, conducted a drug investigation on Back Meadow Road, assisted a citizen at the police department, and took a citizen complaint about vehicles failing to yield to pedestrians on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester served paperwork on Meadow Court, warned a driver for a defect on Main Street, warned three drivers for speeding on Main Street, warned a driver for speeding on Coastal Market Drive, and warned a driver for a stop-sign violation on Main Street.
April 30: Officer Halpin investigated an animal complaint on Chapman Street and took a police information report on Main Street.
Officer Seekins assisted with a prescription drug take-back in Damariscotta.
Officer Sylvester assisted a citizen on Main Street, attempted to locate a pedestrian on Center Street, investigated a report of harassment on Back Meadow Road, and issued a warning for a defect on Main Street.
May 1: Officer Sylvester took a police information report on Miles Street and issued a warning for a stoplight violation on Main Street.
The Damariscotta Police Department responded to 136 calls for service from April 25 to May 1.
