The Damariscotta Police Department reports the following activity from Feb. 2 to 8:
Feb. 4: Officer Halpin responded to a motor-vehicle accident on Ash Lane. Carol Curtis, of Damariscotta, was driving a 2007 Ford Explorer. Woodbury McLean, of Nobleboro, was driving a 2006 GMC pickup. There were no injuries reported and both vehicles were drivable.
Feb. 5: Officer Halpin investigated a two-vehicle accident near Biscay Road and Heater Road. Hugh Priebe, of Warren, was driving a 2008 Ford F-350. Donald Hyson, of Damariscotta, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.
Feb. 7: Officer Mark Graham investigated an accident at the intersection of School Street and Main Street. Merissa Look, of Damariscotta, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound on Main Street. William Wilde, of Walpole, was attempting to pull out of School Street onto Main Street in a 2011 Volkswagen. Wilde advised he could not see due to the large snowbanks and struck the Cavalier. No injuries were reported.
Officer Halpin responded to Main Street for a report of a tractor-trailer that was stuck on the hill due to road conditions.
Feb. 3: Chief Young assisted with vehicles in the way of snow removal on Parking Lot Lane.
Officer Halpin assisted with vehicles in the way of snow removal on Chapman Street.
Officer Halpin investigated a bad check complaint on School Street.
Officer Halpin investigated a bad check complaint on Main Street.
Officer Halpin took a police information report at Great Salt Bay Community School.
Feb. 4: Officer Halpin investigated an erratic operations complaint on Route 1.
Officer Tyson Fait took a civil complaint. The caller reported he was being harassed about money owed to him.
Feb. 5: Officer Fait assisted with vehicles in the way of snow removal on Elm Street, Main Street, and Parking Lot Lane.
Officer Halpin investigated a citizen assist request on Ledgewood Court.
Officer Halpin assisted with a tractor-trailer that was stuck in the roadway at Main Street and Belvedere Road.
Officer Halpin took a report from Lydia Templeton, of Bristol, that her Toyota Tundra received damage to its bumper while parked in the Romeo’s Pizza parking lot on Main Street.
Officer Halpin assisted a citizen with questions on where to park for snow removal on Miles Street.
Officer Kyle Sylvester took an informational report from a citizen whose debit card had been charged. The citizen had reported it to their bank.
Officer Sylvester assisted with a disabled motor vehicle near Route 1 and Midcoast Road.
Feb. 6: Sgt. Jason Warlick investigated a report of an erratic vehicle. The caller reported a red pickup truck all over the road. The vehicle turned off and was not located.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of a protection order violation on Midcoast Road.
Officer Sylvester warned a motorist for an obstructed license plate on Bristol Road.
Feb. 7: Officer Sylvester investigated a traffic hazard on High Street. A manhole cover was tipped up out of its normal position, jutting into roadway. Officer Sylvester returned the cover to its correct position.
Officer Graham investigated a report of wires down on Church Street. They were telephone wires.
Officer Graham took an erratic vehicle report. The vehicle was eventually located in Wiscasset.
Officer Sylvester took a report of the traffic lights not working at the intersection of Main Street and Biscay Road. The power was off at the time of the report. The lights were in working order when power came back on.
Officer Sylvester took a report of a mental health problem on Main Street. The subject returned home safely.
Officer Sylvester warned two motorists for defects on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester investigated a harassment complaint on Blue Haven Lane.
Feb. 8: Officer Scott Sutter assisted with a lockout on Hodgdon Street.
Officer Sutter investigated a traffic hazard on Westview Road. Caller reported slippery roads. Hagar Enterprises was called.
Officer Sutter checked on a disabled vehicle on Route 1. The owner had called AAA.
The Damariscotta Police Department responded to 61 calls for service for the time period of Feb. 2 to 8, including nine property checks, five accidents, five traffic stops, three erratic operations complaints, and one alarm.
