Damariscotta Police are looking for two young women who are believed to be involved in the misuse of a debit card in the Damariscotta area Wednesday.
Damariscotta Police Officer Richard Alexander reports the victim realized her card was missing around 4:30 p.m. that same day and immediately contacted the bank. The bank immediately deactivated the card and discovered unauthorized activity at that time.
Before the card was deactivated, the suspects had purchased roughly $200 of goods at various local stores including Renys, Rite-Aid and Puffin Stop.
Damariscotta Police have released two pictures of the alleged perpetrators using the card at the Damariscotta Hannaford around 4:45 p.m. Feb. 24.
Anyone with any information regarding this incident or who may be able to identify these suspects is asked to contact the Damariscotta Police Dept. at 563-1909.
