The recount in the race for the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen has been rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tues., June 15.
The Tuesday date and time is a change from an initially planned Wednesday morning event.
The recount will be held at the town office on School Street, and is intended to finally decide the race for a three-year seat on the board of selectmen.
Candidate Samuel Tibbetts asked for the recount June 11 after losing last Tuesday’s election by one vote. The official results from the June 8 polling favored candidate Ronn Orenstein, who received 268 votes to Tibbetts’ 267.
