Rick Hirsch, co-owner and chef of the Damariscotta River Grill, has been named 2010 Chef of the Year by the Maine Restaurant Association.
Hirsch, who owns the grill with his wife, Jean Kerrigan, will be honored by the association at a ceremony on March 30. The couple also owns the Anchor Inn in Round Pond.
At the popular Damariscotta River Grill, Hirsch features elegant dishes that feature local produce and seafood.
