Damariscotta will pay interim Town Manager Don Gerrish $400 per day, two days a week, and will pay Gerrish’s firm, Eaton Peabody Consulting Group, $3500 to conduct a search for a permanent manager.
A three-page contract outlines the terms of Damariscotta’s agreement with the Augusta firm.
Gerrish, in addition to his two days per week, will attend all meetings of the Damariscotta Board of Selectmen.
The contract doesn’t specify what days Gerrish will work, leaving the matter to the discretion of Gerrish and the selectmen.
Gerrish’s colleague, Dick Metivier, will be lead consultant for the search.
