The Maine Department of Transportation is planning to upgrade the traffic lights at the intersection of business Route 1 and Biscay Road in Damariscotta.
Construction is anticipated to begin during the summer.
Jim Mansir, a DOT project manager, said the upgrade will be funded by federal and state monies. Estimated cost is $100,000 he said.
