Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a break-in at a popular Newcastle convenience store.
According to the LCSO, around 1 a.m. Jan. 24, deputies responded to an alarm at Mike’s Place on Rt. 1. Upon their arrival, they discovered someone had smashed the front glass door of the business and stole the cash register and several cartons of various brands of cigarettes.
The suspects fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.
