A GMC Sierra pickup was totaled but its driver was not injured when it struck a tree near 900 Waldoboro Rd. in Bremen the afternoon of Nov. 19, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Woodward.
Rachel Golaski, 26, of Bremen, was headed northbound on Waldoboro Road when she bent to reach for something and lost control of the vehicle, according to Woodward.
Golaski was not injured, and was checked and cleared by medical personnel at the scene, Woodward said. Golaski was wearing her seat belt and her airbag did deploy, he said.
Golaski was issued a summons for failure to carry insurance on the vehicle, Woodward said.
Bremen Fire Department and First Responders and Central Lincoln County Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Waldoboro Road was closed for a short time while the vehicle was removed.
