Trees downed by Tropical Storm Irene have made four roadways in Lincoln County impassable until further notice, according to Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (LCEMA) Director Tim Pellerin.
River Rd in Newcastle, Rt. 213 in Newcastle, Townhouse Rd. in Whitefield and East Pond Rd. in Jefferson are all impassable due to downed trees, according to Pellerin. It is not known at this time when those roads will be cleared and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
