A 34-year-old Dresden man was arrested Sunday at a motel in Delaware and charged with five counts of raping a 14-year-old runaway.
James I. Allen allegedly admitted having sexual intercourse with the victim, Georgetown Police Department spokesman Lt. Lawrence A. Grose reportedly told The News Journal.
Allen is charged with three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of fourth-degree rape and sexual solicitation of a child, and may also face federal charges, Grose told the paper.
According to the The News Journal, when police went to the Comfort Inn on U.S. Route 113 Sunday morning, they found the alleged victim and Allen in a room, along with a life-like baby doll, a car seat, diapers and other infant care supplies. Grose told The News Journal that Allen said the two were pretending they had a real baby.
The victim allegedly told police she met Allen on Facebook last year, and had met him at the motel about a week earlier.
Allen is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown, Del., after failing to post $230,000 cash bail, the paper reported.
