At their Sept. 24 meeting, the Dresden Selectmen received bids for snow plowing and sanding of town facilities as well as painting the town office said Selectman David Probert.
The bids for snow plowing and sanding were a flat rate for the entire season, said Probert.
Bids were submitted by Albert Lilly for $7500, Mike Christy for $6500, and Josh Watson for $6880.
Probert said that the selectmen will be checking references for Lilly and Christy, and since Watson was awarded the task last year they will review his past performance.
“We will talk over how satisfied we were with his services and go from there,” Probert said.
Bids were received for painting the Dresden town office from Clarke Painting for $24,000 and from Tom’s Painting for $5160.
Probert said the town’s road grader was having mechanical troubles and that the town of Richmond will allow Dresden to rent their grader until repairs are made.
