The Dresden Board of Selectmen signed the town’s tax commitment at their meeting on Sept. 10, with a net assessment of $1,847,446.65.
In other business, the selectmen requested bids for two contracts; one to paint the town office, and the other for plowing and sanding town properties. Bids are available at the Dresden Town Office, and are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 24.
A fire prevention open house will be held Oct. 3 at the Dresden Fire Dept., 314 Patterson Rd., from 6-8 p.m.
Second Selectman David Probert will be reviewing applications the board has received for an alternate at the Dresden Transfer Station. He will make recommendations at the next meeting.
The selectmen will have their next public workshop on Sept. 17 at the Dresden Town Office, and next meeting on Sept. 24 at Pownalborough Hall.
