No one was injured when a residence at 34 Bradley Shore Road in Bristol was struck four times during a drive-by shooting at approximately 10:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 25.
Two people were inside the residence at the time: Adam Oliveri, 36, and his girlfriend’s 17-year-old daughter, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Oliveri’s girlfriend was at work at the time of the shooting.
The incident was not reported until 9:15 a.m., Monday, Jan. 26.
The firearm appears to have been a small-caliber handgun, according to the sheriff’s office. At least one bullet penetrated the wall of the house. The other bullets have not been recovered.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the incident. The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Sgt. Ron Rollins at 882-7332.
Oliveri is currently under indictment for two counts of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (Suboxone), a class A felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison. The December 2014 indictment lists Oliveri’s address as 66 Academy Hill Road Apt. 3.
Oliveri was allegedly selling the prescription narcotic within 1,000 feet of Lincoln Academy, elevating the charge to class A, a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency spokesman said at the time of the indictment.
The MDEA spokesman said Oliveri was arrested after selling Suboxone to undercover agents.
Oliveri was also arrested last year for allegedly burglarizing a Bristol residence and stealing electronics Jan. 26, 2014.
A Lincoln County grand jury indicted Oliveri on charges of class B burglary, class D operating after revocation, and class D theft by unauthorized taking. The status of those charges was not available at press time.
“We are not commenting on any motive at this time,” Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Michael Murphy said in an email to reporters Tuesday, Jan. 27. “We do not think this was a random act.”
