Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said Dec. 10, following the investigation of the accident involving a pedestrian crossing Main Street in Wiscasset on Nov. 7, a citation was issued to Evan Jones, 19, of Nobleboro. The citation was issued on Dec. 3 for not using care when a pedestrian is in a crosswalk.

McNamara’s injuries from the accident included a fractured pelvis, a concussion and some internal injuries. After being hospitalized for a about a week, McNamara is recovering at home.
According to Cline, the charge comes after reconstruction reports of the accident and interviews with the victim confirmed McNamara was using the crosswalk when she was struck.
