A 25-year-old Edgecomb woman remains hospitalized in critical condition following an early-morning, single vehicle roll-over accident on Gardiner Road in Wiscasset, Saturday.
According to a statement from the Wiscasset Police Department, Kristin Ramile, 25, of Edgecomb was operating a 2007 Toyota Yaris southbound on Gardiner Road when her car crossed the center line, struck a ditch, and went airborne before rolling over.
Ramile was trapped in the vehicle and needed to be extricated by the Wiscasset Fire Department. She was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where she is listed in critical condition.
According to a Wiscasset Police Department, Ramile was the only passenger in the vehicle. Wiscasset police fire and ambulance services all responded to the scene. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jason Nein is performing an accident reconstruction.
