Election Day, Nov. 4 Polling Places And Hours

Alna

Voting will take place at the Alna fire station from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. There is one local referendum on the ballot on the regional school unit plan for Westport Island, Wiscasset, Alna, Whitefield, Palermo, Windsor, Somerville, and Chelsea.

Boothbay

The polling place for Boothbay will be at the town office from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Boothbay Harbor

Boothbay Harbor’s polling place Tuesday will be the municipal building at 11 Howard St. from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Bremen

Voting will take place at the Town Center, located at 208 Waldoboro Rd. Polls will be open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. No local questions will be posed to Bremen voters.

Bristol

Voting takes place in the Bristol Town Office Rt. 130, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., The office is closed for town business, open for voting only.

Damariscotta

Voting takes place in the Damariscotta Municipal Building, at 21 School St., from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Dresden

Dresden voting will take place Tuesday at the Dresden Community Church (King’s Inn) on Rt. 27 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. There is a local election on the ballot. Two residents, Joan Drappeau and Gary Getchell are on the ballot for two positions on the regional school unit board comprised of Hallowell, Farmingdale, Richmond, Dresden, and Monmouth.

Edgecomb

Edgecomb voting will be held at the town hall from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Jefferson

Jefferson voting will take place at the Jefferson Fire Station from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Monhegan Plantation

Monhegan Plantation voting takes place in the Monhegan Public Library at One Main St., from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Newcastle

Newcastle oting will take place at the Newcastle fire barn on River Road, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., closed for town business, open for voting only.

Nobleboro

Nobleboro will take place in the meeting room at the Nobleboro Town Office from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Voters will be asked whether the Great Salt Bay Sanitary District should include the entire town of Nobleboro.

Somerville

Somerville voting will take place at the Somerville Elementary School on Rt. 105 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Voters will be asked whether the tax collector/treasurer position should be changed from elected to appointed and whether or not to approve the school reorganization plan prepared by the Sheepscot Valley Reorganization Planning Committee.

South Bristol

South Bristol voting takes place at South Bristol School, on Rt. 129, in South Bristol, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Southport

The Southport polling place will be at the Southport Town Hall from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Waldoboro

Voting will take place at the Waldoboro Municipal Building, on Rt. 1, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Four local articles on the ballot relate to the acquisition of the former A.D. Gray Middle School building, obtaining funds to maintain the A.D. Gray building, the purchase of a property adjacent to the A.D. Gray Building and whether warrant articles at town meetings ought to be voted on by secret ballot referendum.

Also on the ballot will be a question posed to voters whether M.S.A.D. 40 School Board can obtain funds for the purchase of a new furnace for Medomak Valley High School.

Westport Island

Westport Island voting Tuesday will take place at the town hall from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. There is one local referendum question on the ballot concerning the regional school unit plan for Westport Island, Wiscasset, Alna, Whitefield, Palermo, Windsor, Somerville, and Chelsea.

Wiscasset

Wiscasset voting Tuesday will take place at the Wiscasset Community Center from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. There are three local referendum questions: one on the regional school unit, one on the closing of the middle school and retrofitting of the primary school and high school and one on a height restriction change in the local building laws.
