Central Maine Power Company expects to restore electricity to 4,279 customers in seven Lincoln County towns by 2:15 p.m. “if everything goes well,” according to CMP dispatch.
The customers lost power at 9:07 a.m. due to an equipment failure at a substation on Mills Road in Newcastle, the CMP spokeswoman said. The failure affects two circuits that supply power to customers in Bremen, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Jefferson, Newcastle, Nobleboro, and Waldoboro.
