Corinne Rogers, the first baby born at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta in 2012, joined mom, dad and three older brothers at about 10:15 p.m., Jan. 2.
Corinne weighed 7-lbs., 7-oz., at birth and was sleeping peacefully in mom Felicia Giles’ arms Tuesday morning.
Her brother Royce greeted her enthusiastically when Dad, Danial Rogers, brought him for a visit. Danial said Royce was so excited to meet his new sister he picked out toys for her to play with before coming to the hospital.
Sitting next to his mother, Royce hugged his little sister and called her “my baby.” Corinne will meet brothers, George and Grant Swope, after she arrives home. The family lives in Boothbay.
Felicia said she was excited to learn that Corinne was the first baby born in Lincoln County. She said the delivery went smoothly and a close friend also gave birth next door just a few hours after Corinne was born.
Felicia said all four of her children were born at Miles as well as her seven younger brothers and sisters.
