The effects of an ocean storm reached far enough into Lincoln County to leave an estimated 4 to 8 inches of snowfall accumulation, but little else in the way of damage.
There was only one power outage reported in Lincoln County during the event, and while there were numerous traffic incidents, including a rollover in Wiscasset, there were no reports of serious injuries at the time of this posting.
The storm was even “courteous” enough to chug out of town ahead of schedule, with most snowfall tapering off well ahead of the midnight Saturday end to a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service.
Forecasters are already warning of another snow storm due arrive in Lincoln County early Tuesday and continue though the day and into the night.
The Lincoln County News will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it is obtained.
