One person died and two were injured Saturday in an early morning traffic collision on Rt. 144 in Wiscasset, according to police.
The accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Westport Bridge Rd. after the driver of a pick-up truck lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree, according to police. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the two passengers were transported to Mid Coast Hospital, according to police. Police have not released the names of those involved in the incident.
