One individual has been confirmed dead at the scene of a two motor vehicle accident on Route 17 in Somerville, just north of the Hewett Road intersection.
Jefferson and Somerville Fire Departments are on the scene, assisted by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Route 17 has been temporarily closed to through traffic.
At the scene The Lincoln County News correspondent, Dominik Lobkowicz described slick road conditions, as rain and sleet fell on wet, snow-covered roads.
The accident appears to involve a multi-axle delivery truck and a Jeep SUV.
