Appearing in Androscoggin County Superior Court Oct. 18, Buddy Robinson, 31, of Lewiston, was sentenced to 55 years in prison for the July 2011 murder of Christiana Fesmire.
Handing down a sentence that exceeded the 40 years prosecutors recommended, and the 25 years the defense was hoping for, Justice MaryGay Kennedy said Robinson failed to take responsibility for Fesmire’s murder. Fesmire’s parents live in Bremen.
Before sentencing, Robinson reportedly apologized to the court for not initially revealing where he dumped Fesmire’s body, but he did not apologize for her death.
Following the multi day trial, a jury deliberated for a little more before convicting Robinson of murder last November.
