On Oct. 15 at 6 p.m., Healthy Lincoln County and Lincoln County Healthcare will hold a meeting for parents regarding underage drinking. The meeting will be held at the Lincoln County Education Center on 66 Chapman St. in Damariscotta. Vital information will be provided on the health risks of underage alcohol use. Tips will also be shared for parents and caregivers on how to keep children drug and alcohol free.
Entitled “Find Out More, Do More,” this presentation is geared towards parents of both young children and teenagers. As statistics demonstrate, all Maine children are at risk for underage substance abuse. If one thinks one’s child is not drinking, this may be the event one should attend.
