The first power outages due to high winds emanating from Hurricane Sandy have been reported in Lincoln County, according to Central Maine Power (CMP).
Power outages have been reported by three households, but that number is expected to rise as winds pick up later Monday evening. The outages are in Damariscotta, Bremen and Westport Island, according to CMP
The wide-ranging elements of Hurricane Sandy are forecast to bring dangerously high winds Monday afternoon and evening according to the National Weather Service, which has also issued a High Wind Warning for the area..
