A structure fire at a firewood production business in Bristol called responders from four area fire departments to the scene on Sodom Road Wednesday afternoon.
From the scene LCN reporter Emily Elliott reported seeing trucks and equipment from Bristol, South Bristol, Damariscotta and Bremen fire departments responding to the Frick & Frack business after 2:20 p.m.
The fire was extinguished by 3:30, Elliott reported.
The cause of the blaze may have been electrical. Frick & Frack owner Paul Blomquist told Elliott he was working in the garage with his employees when they heard a circuit breaker trip.
Tracking the circuit breaker to kiln number two, the workers smelled smoke but could not see flames. Someone opened the kiln door, at which time, fire escaped, igniting a portion of the building, Blomquist said.
There were eight pallets of wood in the kiln being dried at the time the fire started, Elliott reports.
There were no injures reported at this time.
