Gov. Paul LePage has directed the United States flag and the State of Maine flag be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Wed., March 30 in remembrance and honor of Game Warden Pilot Daryl Gordon.
Gordon died in a plane crash on Clear Lake on Thursday night. He was a 25-year veteran of the Maine Warden Service whose aerial search-and-rescue efforts brought countless people home to loved ones. He is the 15th Game Warden to die in line of duty in the Maine Warden Service’s 130-year history.
A funeral service celebrating Gordon’s life and career will be held March 30.
