Great Salt Bay Community School has completed fundraising for a new sound system.
The school is working with an engineer on the layout of the system, Great Salt Bay Community School (GSB) Principal Jeff Boston said.
Boston expects the installation to be at least partially complete prior to winter band and choral concerts on Fri., Dec. 2 and Fri., Dec. 16, respectively.
Even the partial installation will make “a world of difference compared to last year,” Boston said.
The school also recently received a donation of a piano for the band room. Boston described the instrument as an older, upright model.
The school band and chorus previously shared a piano located in the choral room. “We’re appreciative of [the donors’] generosity,” Boston said.
