Law enforcement concern about a 36-year-old Bristol man, a parent of Great Salt Bay Community School students, triggered a lockdown at the school Oct. 3.
The two-hour, 45-minute lockdown concluded without incident when deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office located the man on Rt. 1 in Verona Island.
The man did not make any threats toward the school or anyone at the school, according to the Damariscotta Police Department and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. He did not commit any crime and law enforcement does not plan to investigate further.
