Reverend Apollon Noel from Terrier Rouge, Haiti will stay with Terry and Lee Johnston in Jefferson, July 2-10.
For several years in January Terry has traveled to Terrier Rouge to work with Pastor Noel in the child and family sponsorship programs they initiated.
As a result, many children are able to attend the preschool, elementary and secondary schools, get a Christian education, and a good meal every day.
The family sponsorship program enables families to start a small business and help support themselves.
Pastor Noel will speak at the First Baptist Church in Jefferson at 9:30 a.m., Sun., July 3. There will be a potluck banquet for him at the Broken Acres Pavilion at 160 Valley Rd., Jefferson, Fri., July 8 at 6 p.m.
All are welcome to come and join in the fellowship. Bring something to eat.
On Sun., July 10, Pastor Noel will speak at the Spruce Head Community Church on Village Street in Spruce Head at 11 a.m. and again at 6 p.m., he will speak at the South Somerville Baptist Church, at the intersection of Rt. 17 and Hewett Road.
Anyone interested in visiting with him at other times may call Terry Johnston at 549-5512 or Jeanne Bryant at 549-5301.
