Mike and Liz Hall are pleased to announce Laura Conway as Hall’s newest funeral director and tribute team member in Boothbay, Waldoboro, and Thomaston.
“Laura is a natural fit for us as she exudes the qualities we admire most: compassion, caring, and trustworthiness. She is enthusiastic about helping people create lasting memories and unique celebrations. Laura is excited to get to know our community and truly cares about helping people,” says Mike Hall, president of Hall Funeral Homes and Tribute Centers.
Conway grew up in Livermore Falls and after graduating high school went on to college at Southern Maine Community College to obtain a degree in radiography. She graduated from SMCC in 2006 and started working at Southern Maine Health Care as a CT technologist.
When Conway started working at Southern Maine Health Care she was looking for a place to live when one of her co-workers told her about a friend. He was living alone, so Conway moved in with him as a roommate. It was a match made in heaven, and in 2009, Conway and Eric married at the Bethel Inn with many friends and family members to celebrate.
While working at Southern Maine Health Care and Mercy Hospital, Conway obtained her degree from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Services in 2013 and started her apprenticeship in Biddeford before coming to Hall Funeral Homes.
Conway enjoys dance, field hockey, hiking, sitting by a camp fire, and spending time with her family, but she especially enjoys shopping.
Conway looks forward to becoming a part of the community, attending local gatherings, and to helping families celebrate their loved one’s lives in meaningful and unique ways.
