Kelby Hampson pled guilty to four counts of Class B Assault on an Officer Oct. 3, according to court documents Lincoln County Superior Court.
Hampson was sentenced to four years imprisonment with all but three years suspended, followed by three years probation, according to the documents.
According to a written statement by Hampson’s arresting officer, LCSO Dep. Robert Banks, Hampson reportedly struck Two Bridges Regional Jail Officer Paul Rubashkin several times, kicked Officers Eric Major and Timothy Willette in their heads, and spat in the face of Lt. James Bailey on May 22.
Hampson was a Kennebec County inmate being boarded at Two Bridges at the time of the assaults, said TBRJ Lt. Darryl Groh.
Hampson is required to pay $25 in victim compensation for each of the four counts, and an additional $765 in restitution to Rubashkin and Bailey, according to court documents.
Hampson was previously convicted for two Class D assaults and one domestic violence assault, according to the indictment.
