Responders are on the scene of a head on collision on Route 1 in Nobleboro in the area of the Nobleboro boat launch. North and southbound traffic is currently being rerouted around the site via Center Street.
According to The Lincoln County News reporter on the scene, one of the vehicles involved appears to have a pickup truck towing a large, fifth-wheel or gooseneck-type camper-trailer.
Route 1 traffic is currently closed around the scene of the accident. Indications are the road will be closed for some time.
