A head on traffic collision on Duck Puddle Rd., Nobleboro June 9 resulted in injuries to all parties involved.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 4:08 p.m., as Jessica Jackson, 19, of Waldoboro, crested a hill.
Jackson’s vehicle, a westbound 1998 Chevrolet sedan entered the east bound travel lane, coming into the path of a 1998 Volvo sedan operated by Kaitlin King, 18, of Nobleboro.
Both vehicles collided head on in the eastbound travel lane. Jackson’s sedan rotated counter-clockwise and came to rest in the westbound travel lane, facing east. King’s Volvo came to rest in the eastbound lane and shoulder.
Nobleboro Fire and First Responders as well as Central Lincoln County and Waldoboro Ambulance Services responded. Three people were transported to Miles Hospital in Damariscotta for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The primary investigating officer is Deputy Matthew Day who was assisted by Sgt. Jason Nein.
Driver inattention/distraction is considered the primary cause of this crash. Jackson was charged with Operating Without a License. Neither speed nor alcohol is considered factors.
