The swine flu virus has hit the Two Bridges Regional Jail, with one employee sent home after coming down with a confirmed case of the H1N1 virus, while four others were sent home with flu-like symptoms.
Mark Westrum, the jail administrator, said so far, no inmates have been affected, although last week, a pair of inmates showed some sign of illness, and were confined to their living areas.
As a precaution, all employees are being asked to have their temperatures taken before being permitted to enter the facility, he said.
