Love is in the air in Waldoboro, or at least on the walls, windows, and doors of buildings around town.

Dozens of white sheets of paper with red printed hearts showed up on many storefronts, the Waldoboro Municipal Building, Miller School, the post office, and the
Waldoboro Public Library the morning of Feb. 13.
Aside from the red hearts, the papers have no other markings on them and no indications of who placed them there or why.
Calls placed to town officials, Waldoboro Business Association members, and Waldoboro citizens shed no light on the questions surrounding the hearts’ arrival, but
several suggested the hearts may relate to encouraging love of the town.
Anyone with information on the hearts is asked to call The Lincoln County News at 563-3171.
