A helicopter and pilot from the Maine Forest Service has joined in the search for 12-year-old Micah Thomas of Dresden, who has been missing since he stepped off a school bus Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities have also scheduled a press conference for 2 p.m. Thursday to update the public on the search effort. A reporter for The Lincoln County News will be in attendance at the press conference, and any information obtained will be posted on the website as soon as possible.
The Maine Warden Service has been heading up the search with assistance from numerous state and local agencies. Search efforts have been focused in the area of Eagle Lodge Lane and Rt. 127 in Dresden.
Thomas was reported missing by his stepfather at 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday after he was late in arriving home after school. The bus had dropped Thomas off at 3 p.m.
