Work on a state strut replacement project on Route 32 in Bremen will close a section of that road completely, according to a letter the Bremen Board of Selectmen received, via Lincoln County Communications Director Tod Hartung.
The July 9 letter to Hartung from Hagar Enterprises, the contractor for the job, said work was set to commence Wednesday July 24 and be completed by Friday, Aug. 9.
“If the project allows for the road to be open sooner we will notify you of this information,” the letter to Hartung said.
The work site is located one-tenth of a mile north of the Bristol-Bremen line. Bremen Selectman Hank Nevins said water levels are still high near the work site and suggested further delays could be expected.
