A Lincoln County Sheriff’s cruiser sustained front end damage after sliding into a tree in Dresden Dec. 31.
According to Major Ken Mason of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Mark Bridgham was responding to a motor vehicle accident scene on Rt. 27 around 8:50 a.m. when his vehicle skidded on a patch of ice, went up on to a banking and struck a tree.
While the total cost of the damages has not yet been determined at press time, Mason estimates repair costs to be between $3000 and $5000.
Bridgham was not harmed in the accident.
