A Nobleboro woman jailed in Rockland for multiple violent convictions in the past five years was arrested and charged with assault, threatening and criminal mischief after she allegedly attacked a jail guard.
Clara Malmstrom, 36, of Nobleboro, is currently incarcerated at Knox County Jail in Rockland. According to a complaint filed in Knox County Court, she was convicted of reckless conduct in 2006, assault in 2007 and assault in 2010.
She is now accused of attacking a jail guard in the maximum-security area after he denied her a phone call at around 11 a.m. on Jan. 1, according to the incident report. She is also accused of smashing a television set and threatening to stab an officer in the neck with a pencil prior to dropping the pencil and running towards the officer.
Malmstrom was arrested and charged with assault on an officer, criminal threatening and criminal mischief.
