The jaws of life were needed to extricate a Nobleboro man from his vehicle after it had rolled on its side on Route 1 in Newcastle at around 2:25 p.m. Dec. 11.
Robert Trial, 75, was driving a 1994 Plymouth minivan on northbound on Route 1 when witnesses saw the van swerve off the road and roll over on the northbound
shoulder, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Jared Mitkus.

Trial was observed walking from his vehicle to the ambulance after he was extricated.
Responders from Newcastle Fire Department, Boothbay Region and Wiscasset ambulance services, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and the CLC Ambulance Service
