The Jefferson Public Library is now open in its new home in the library area of the new Jefferson Village School. The library was closed this summer while the school was built.
The library will hold an open house to celebrate their reopening on Nov. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the library; light refreshments will be served.
A book swap at the Jefferson Fire Station offered residents access to some of the library’s collection and a children’s reading hour kept patrons involved. Now they are settled in, all residents of Jefferson and surrounding towns with no public library may check out books from among hundreds of titles.
The library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 p.m. at JVS.
