Jennifer’s Family Hair Care in Jefferson recently hired Hillary Wallace, 19 of Jefferson, as their new cosmetologist.
Wallace recently graduated with a 4.0 GPA from cosmetology school at the Capilo Institute in Augusta and is trained in all aspects of hair styling, as well as manicures and pedicures.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and it’s pretty exciting to be working here,” Wallace said.
Until now, Jennifer Genthner has run the hair salon by herself since she opened it last year. “It’s going to be nice to be able to take a day off sometimes,” she said.
Wallace will allow Jennifer’s Family Hair Care to stay open later during the week, and they will now be open on Mondays, Genthner said.
Jennifer’s Family Hair Care is located at 8 Village St. in Jefferson. Their new hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. They expect to add Monday hours starting Oct. 24.
