A Newcastle resident will appear on “Jeopardy,” the popular, long-running game show, Wed., March 30.
Ellen Dickens, known to many Lincoln County residents as a member of the Newcastle Board of Selectmen and the director of Central Lincoln County Adult Education, traveled to Los Angeles, Cal., in November 2010 to film her appearance.
Central Lincoln County Adult Education Central Lincoln County Adult Education is hosting a party at the Lincoln Academy dining commons to watch Dickens compete.
The evening will begin with a community potluck supper from 6-7 p.m., continue with a round of “Jeopardy” from 7-7:30 p.m. and culminate with Dickens’ appearance at 7:30 p.m.
The suggested donation for the supper is $10. All proceeds will help purchase laptops for Central Lincoln County Adult Education students and Microsoft Office software for Adult Education and Lincoln Academy students.
Central Lincoln County Adult Education welcomes donations of food for the potluck and asks people planning to attend to RSVP so the organization can prepare appropriately.
