Eleven votes decided the Dresden Board of Selectmen race between Dwight Keene and incumbent Second Selectman Gerald Lilly during the municipal election Tuesday, June 14.
Keene defeated Lilly, a former Dresden fire chief, with a vote of 149-138 to win the seat.
The remaining races were uncontested. Kim Rzasa received 280 votes to win re-election to another one-year term. Ann Pierce was elected excise- and property-tax collector with 275 and 266 votes, respectively. Patricia Theriault received 258 votes for town clerk.
Voters elected Branden Perreault to the RSU 2 Board of Directors with 256 votes. Scott Silverman was elected to the Dresden Budget Review Committee with 263 votes.
Dresden’s annual town meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 18 beginning at 9 a.m. at Pownalborough Hall.
