Edward Victor Kirkland Jr. of Damariscotta, and Lindsley Huttig Field of Murrells Inlet, S. C. and Jefferson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Field Kirkland, to David Webster Goodwin III, son of David Webster Goodwin Jr. and Karen Kimball Goodwin of Plaistow, N.H.
The future bride graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in sociology and education. She has an enthusiasm for photography and enjoys working for her family’s owned and operated company, Back Meadow Farm Inc., as a landscape foreman and manager.
The future groom is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and is employed by Bouchard Transportation as a First Mate, operating ATB tugs and barges transporting petroleum products up and down the Eastern seaboard. A September 2012 wedding is planned on Southport Island.
With a mutual love of the water, boating and the outdoors, the couple will continue to reside in East Boothbay’s Linekin Bay with their beloved hound, Diego.
