Joe and Katie Mitkus of Alna are pleased to announce the birth of their son Kobe Rocco.
Kobe arrived Oct. 29 during the middle of Hurricane Sandy at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick at 5:30 p.m. weighing in at 8-lbs., 6-oz. and he was 20.5 inches long.
He was also greeted by some of his extended family and his grandparents, John and Linda Mitkus of Bristol, Norm Sherman and Beverly Needham of Westport and Cathy Sherman of Wiscasset.
He is also welcomed by great-grandmothers, Barbara Rivers of Pocasset, Mass., and Marion Sherman of Whitefield.
