Joseph and Roanne Fortin of Bristol are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jeffrey Andrew Fortin of Tiverton, R.I. to Rachel Elizabeth Kopecky of Tiverton R.I., daughter of Richard and Roxanne Kopecky of Jamesville, N.Y.
Fortin is a graduate of Lincoln Academy, Class of 1999, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Class of 2003. He is an electrical engineer for Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, R.I.
Kopecky is a 2001 graduate of Jamesville High School and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island in 2007. She is a hospital pharmacist at Providence Hospital, Providence, R.I. An Oct. 9, 2010 wedding is planned in Newport, R.I.
