A new reporter has joined the staff of The Lincoln County News.
The reporter, Alexander Violo, arrives in Lincoln County by way of western Montana, where he was working as a news and sports reporter at the Clark Fork Valley Press in Plains.
Violo will cover news and events in the communities of Bremen, Jefferson, Nobleboro, Somerville, and Waldoboro.
In Montana, he had the opportunity to report on a variety of topics in the northern Rocky Mountains, including competitive rodeos and the recent spate of wildfires impacting the Pacific Northwest.
Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ithaca College in the Finger Lakes.
Violo is passionate about sports, particularly baseball, where he supports the New York Metropolitans through the few ups and more numerous downs of their annual summer campaign.
Though born in New York, he attended high school in Bow, N.H. and is looking forward to once again living in New England.
